Dave Ulrich & Norm Smallwood.
Leadership sustainability begins with recognition that what matters is the impact of the leader’s actions on others—not just the actions themselves or the rationale behind them. Leadership sustainability has to show up not only in personal intentions but also in observable behaviors.
If the leader of an organization is going to have a significant and a desired impact on those who work under them, then they must make sure their leadership is more than just words and platitudes. Their actions and the areas they focus their time and attention will speak more than mission statements and published corporate goals.
